Jun Inagawa "The Private Jündelic Reel"

New Gallery will host artist Jun Inagawa’s solo exhibition “The Private Jündelic Reel” from Friday, February 7, marking both the end of a journey and the beginning of a new chapter.

Born in 1999, Jun Inagawa has been immersed in anime and manga since childhood. His free and dynamic art style—shaped by influences from street culture, music, and various subcultures—has garnered significant attention. His diverse portfolio includes collaborations with VLONE led by A$AP Bari, designing tour costumes for Billie Eilish, hosting solo exhibitions at DIESEL ART GALLERY, and organizing the “Mad Magic Orchestra” rave event in Shibuya.

This exhibition is both the culmination of his creative journey so far and an important turning point as he steps into a new stage. The coined term “Jündelic” in the title encapsulates his inner world and unique creative vision, interwoven with a rich tapestry of subcultural influences.

In addition to featuring his well-known works, the exhibition will present a series of new pieces that mark fresh challenges. These include illustrations reminiscent of anime and manga, paintings, and installation works that evoke a synergy with music and skate culture. The collection also delves deeper into the theme of existence in the “space between reality and fiction,” a subject that the artist has long explored.

Exclusive to the exhibition, limited-edition items such as T-shirts and tote bags adorned with his new illustrations will also be available for purchase.

“The Private Jündelic Reel” stands as a prelude to new artistic challenges and offers a unique opportunity to reflect on his creative legacy. As it marks both the conclusion of years of work and the beginning of a new future, this exhibition is not to be missed.
