Teresa Ikeda — First Solo Exhibition “Wings”

We are pleased to present “Wings” the first solo exhibition by Teresa Ikeda (a member of Nogizaka46 and a current student at Tokyo University of the Arts).

Drawing on the everyday writings from her past Nogizaka46 blog posts, artist Teresa Ikeda transforms this material—through a variety of methods—into artworks and products. What began as a secondary mode of expression becomes an immersive, spatial experience shaped by the artist’s own hand.

Embodying the duality of idol and artist, Ikeda realizes a concept only she can enact, while pioneering a rare approach: an artist turning her own blog into artworks herself. We invite you to experience this new and singular attempt.

Comment from Teresa Ikeda

I am pleased to present my first solo exhibition, Wings: A Duck’s Dream.
The title is drawn from an earlier entry on my personal blog.
I set out to explore what I can do now—at a moment when I am both an idol and, at the same time, not only that. Preparing for this exhibition meant beginning the work entirely from scratch, guided by a simple origin: a desire to share the world as it appears to my own eyes. This exhibition gives straightforward form to those sensations and thoughts.
Wings is addressed to my past self, and at the same time it is meant to offer each viewer a chance to look inward. I would be grateful if you could meet the works directly, face to face, within the exhibition space.

Dates: Friday, November 7 – Sunday, December 7, 2025 (open daily during the run)
Hours: 12:00–20:00 (last entry 19:30)
Venue: New Gallery (1F, mirio Jinbōchō, 1-28-1 Kanda-Jinbōchō, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
Access: 3 minutes on foot from Jinbōchō Station (Exit A5) on the Tokyo Metro Hanzōmon Line / Toei Shinjuku & Mita Lines

Profile

Teresa Ikeda
Joined Nogizaka46 as a 5th-generation member on February 1, 2022. She served as center for the 5th-gen track “Kokoro ni mo Nai Koto” included on the 32nd single, and made her first selection for the 33rd single. While active with Nogizaka46, she is enrolled in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts, pursuing her studies in art. Balancing group activities and academics, she has expanded into new fields; for the 37th single released in 2024, she also contributed part of the jacket artwork design. She currently appears as a solo regular on TOKYO MX’s “Kotoge Eiji no Nante Bi da!”.
