At the same time, it has become increasingly difficult to identify the contours of what might be called the \u201cnext wave\u201d or a \u201cnew movement.\u201d<br\/>Centered on the ideas of Creation and Revolution, \u201cNeo-Arts-Revolt\u201d is a next-generation art project that seeks to bring into view the emerging pulse of new forms of expression. This exhibition features five young creators whose practices move across different territories, from the street to the digital realm, presenting them together as a new collective sensibility: \u201cNeo-Arts.\u201d<br\/>While inheriting the legacy of Pop Art, the exhibition attempts to retell and reinterpret it through the language of the present. Reinterpretation and reconstruction, the circulation of art through commercial culture and the pursuit of artistic integrity, and the distinctive visual language of a generation raised on screens all intersect here. In 2019, prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, he made the decision to confront his own form of expression as an artist and began developing his artistic practice in earnest.<br\/>Since childhood, he has been influenced by the subcultures of the 1980s and 1990s, including fashion, music, manga, and anime. His practice explores the sense of dissonance that emerges between the city and the individual, perspectives on society and culture, and what he describes as an \u201canonymous presence,\u201d translating these ideas into visual form.<br\/>Through layered compositions using spray paint, acrylic, and dripping techniques, he quietly brings to the surface uncontrollable emotions, subtle shifts in atmosphere, and the noise embedded in everyday life. This style has led to numerous collaborations with apparel brands, music festivals, and other cultural projects.<br\/>The artist\u2019s practice extends beyond conventional two-dimensional surfaces, encompassing murals on city and hotel walls, shop windows, and three-dimensional objects such as bottles, beach stones, and driftwood.<br\/>After the publication of the picture book Akaran-kun in 2015, the artist began working professionally in earnest. In 2016, the first solo exhibition was held at MAR-VISTA GARDEN in Chigasaki.<br\/>The artist\u2019s street art in their hometown of Chigasaki has attracted attention, with murals appearing throughout the city, particularly around Yuzo Street and Southern Street. Born from intuition and inspiration, his works often challenge conventional values and established ideas, seeking to bring energy, optimism, and courage to those who encounter them.<br\/>His practice extends across solo exhibitions, design, illustration, mural painting, and merchandise production, with projects presented in seven countries including Japan. He has collaborated with government organizations and companies and brands including BEAMS, Mizuno, Umaibo, and Kinnikuman, and has participated in art projects at major music festivals such as SUMMER SONIC and METROCK. His wide-ranging activities also include large-scale murals on water buses and buildings, design and merchandise projects for international brands including Aquascutum, and pop-up shops at department stores throughout Japan.<br\/>His works have been presented to the late Buddhist nun and writer Jakucho Setouchi and former Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, as well as dedicated to the World Heritage-listed Yoshimizu Shrine. His work has also been selected for presentations related to Sakai City, home to the World Heritage-listed Mozu-Furuichi Kofun Group, and Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.<br\/>His original works are held by a number of prominent collectors, including a CEO of Universal Studios Japan. In 2021, he transformed the entire exterior of the building housing his gallery shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, into a large-scale mural titled HOPETREE. The following year, he published his first autobiography, The Man Who Makes the World HAPPY Through Pop Art, which ranked No. 1 in seven categories on Amazon Books in Japan and received extensive media coverage.<br\/>Hatayama began expanding his activities internationally in 2017, followed by his first solo exhibition in Paris in 2018. Since then, he has participated in art fairs in Dubai, Barcelona, Paris, and New York. Characterized by a skillful use of spattering techniques, her distinctive visual language is composed of vivid colors and an underlying sense of warmth and affection.<br\/>Working across a wide range of media, including two-dimensional works, sculpture, installation, and performance, she continues to investigate the nature of life and the forces that make it compelling. Through these approaches, she aims to offer viewers new perspectives and emotional experiences.<br\/>Her distinctive use of color and unique visual world have received recognition not only in Japan but also internationally, including in Taiwan, Shanghai, New York, and Italy. She has participated in international art fairs, held solo exhibitions, and presented live art performances. During a European tour, she created performances and murals in Germany, Italy, Greece, and Poland.<br\/>She has held solo exhibitions at department stores in Taichung and at PPP Art Center in Taiwan. She was also the only artist to present a dedicated art-performance booth at Megaport Festival, one of Taiwan\u2019s largest music festivals.<br\/>In Palermo, Sicily, she created a mural on a security barrier in the historic Quattro Canti district as part of an official event recognized by the Mayor of Palermo during an arts festival. This early experience led him to study Western-style painting at art high school.<br\/>Through religious painting, Buddhism, which has long been familiar to him, and Shinto, rooted in the culture of his native Japan, he has continually reflected on the question of what life is. This exploration has developed into a practice centered on the theme of \u201clife.\u201d<br\/>His works often feature people, animals, and plants, with women frequently appearing as symbols of the creation of life. Through flowing paint and an abundant use of color, he expresses connections among humans, animals, and plants, as well as the passage of time from birth to death. His visual language is also strongly influenced by street culture, including graffiti, which he encountered through skateboarding from the age of fourteen.<br\/>Working with a wide range of materials, including acrylic paint, spray paint, and paint markers, he has created murals both in Japan and abroad for events such as POW! WOW! JAPAN and POW! WOW! HAWAII.<br\/>He has also provided artwork across a variety of fields, including CD cover designs for violinist NAOTO and the British band Incognito, as well as projects for Brooklyn Brewery (Kirin Brewery) and Nakayama Racecourse.
